What is a boudoir makeover photoshoot?

Photography has always been a passion for me, but until recently, it has remained a hobby. I never imagined that I could combine my passion for hair & makeup and my passion for photography. In order to update my portfolio, often times I photograph my clients after they’ve received a makeover.

This is when I had a watershed moment, and realized this is the perfect opportunity to capture the feeling of confidence, beauty and radiance that a woman experiences from her new makeover. The comfort of the personal relationship I form with my client during her makeover carries over into the photoshoot, that could otherwise feel awkward. I love helping a woman embrace her femininity, her beauty, her confidence and connect with her romantic and sensual sides. An amazing experience for a woman, and a beautifully sophisticated gift she can share with her partner.

I am so excited to announce a makeover and photography service I offer, I call “Boudoir by Ali”. So many of my brides and clients have often wanted an excuse to get another makeover with me. I am often told that I am fun, professional, and make them feel relaxed and calm on their wedding day. The greatest pleasure I take I when a woman looks in the mirror after her makeover and says, “I love it!”. I realized this was the perfect opportunity for me to combine my passion for hair and make up, and my love for photography.

Once clients get comfortable, a makeover and photoshoot with me is just like hanging out with your girlfriend, giggling about everything, and having a great time!!!

What is boudoir/glamour photography? Everyone is different, so it depends on what you are looking for. Some women come in and want to have an alter ego. They may bring extreme outfits, thigh highs, high heels or outfits they normally would never wear... and then I have some women who throw on a t-shirt and boy shorts and go barefoot. Some women also just want, casual, flattering shots capturing themselves at work, participating in their hobbies, outdoors or relaxing at home. It really is all up to you how you want the shoot to go. The shoots are to your taste and comfort level. Some women want partial nudity, some want full, some want just an illusion. The beauty of boudoir is that everyone is beautiful and special and that is what I want to bring out in each session.
